  • Caption: Taken on a cold and windy morning in early spring at Nordkapp in Norway, the northermost point of continental Europe. Far above the Arctic Circle and with the sun still quite low in the sky throughout the day, some extraordinary lighting occurs from time to time. Here, sun penetrating an otherwise heavy cloud layer forms a pool of light on the sea, in which tiny fishing boats can just be seen.
