- Caption: The vibrance of spring is short-lived in the east bay foothills of California (Mt Diablo). Spying some bright gold poppies on a bright blue-skied day prompted me to get down low and shoot up, to capture a vibrant "California Blue and Gold" moment. Canon 40D, f/5.7 hoping to blur the background but keep hints of the poppies climbing up the hill behind.
