- Caption: A friend of mine, known as the Halloween Queen, does makeup work and asked me to shoot this shot for a product she is trying to get to market. The product is "Extra Flesh" and is used to build up the wound edges and then color is added to simulate blood. It is amazing to me how realistic it looks. In addition, a stipple sponge is used to drag makeup across the skin and give the appearance of superficial abrasions. The realism of these abrasions is impressive.
