- Caption: Just about everyday I stand next to this telephone pole waiting to cross the street. I'm always worried about brushing up against it and catching clothing or skin on the assorted staples, nails, and screws. I had just listened to one of your podcasts on the bus and was standing next to the pole. "Now that's texture," I thought to myself. Sharp metal, rough wood. I had never thought of it as a photographic subject before. I've started looking for other poles. Thanks for the inspiration.
