- Caption: Took this shot at Duke Gardens in Durham, NC. This rock made me think of the "True Grit" photo assignment. It is an HDR image of three exposures, normal, +2ev, and -2ev. I went with an HDR because it was a very sunny mid-day, and the details of the crevices in the rock were hidden in shadow at the normal exposure. Surprisingly, the HDR process enhanced the gritty detail in the rock.
